Hi @Zaid Al-Tamimi ,

Can you share a screenshot of the automation rule you got so far? Or otherwise, give a bit more context/details of what you would like to achieve?

As you can see below, there are quite a few options to set information:

  1. First, you can select which fields you want to fill in a certain way (like Assignee, Component, Summary, Description, etc)
  2. Then, using the 3 dots, you can choose to 'SET' (which is default selected) or 'COPY' which allows you to copy information from another issue
  3. You can use the {} sign to add so called smart values in a relatively easy way - there is little 'coding' required but once you've got the hang of this, it's pretty fun!
  4. Additionally, if you have chosen to 'COPY' values, you can click on the 'Current issue' part highlighted below to choose to copy values from another type of issue (the Parent, Epic, etc, and even to copy the value from another field INTO the field of your choice.

Hi @Hans Polder _Devoteam_

thanks for the reply. I will try to explain one case. See attached image. I have a custom field Building Access that has some values. I was about to create an automation rule for the one that is not an Agent in Jira SM just to let him know what he has to do. So I need to put in there name of the reporter and values selected from the custom field and some text that I know how to do.

@Zaid Al-Tamimi ,

You should use that { } icon on the bottom right to get you started (1). You can search through a ton of options (2) by either entering a search option, or just clicking through the options shown on screen. You can then hover over the item you need, click the copy icon and paste it on the desired spot in your template on the right.

Next to what's available in this { } search box, you can also access values in certain fields. Usually this can be obtained by entering {{issue.<name of custom field>}}, like in your case {{issue.Building Access}}:

It will look like this:
