How to print special SEO meta tags in the head?

Ahmed El Atab February 23, 2022

I want to specify special image to appear as the og:image when sharing the link of my confluence/space, but didn't find a straightforward way to achieve this!

I had tried JS but then identified that crawlers will not detect changes done by JS!

Then I had noticed that under Look and feel -> Layouts the Main Layout decorator includes the head tag where I had echoed my meta tags and it worked with the default confluence theme. But when activating the ThemePress on the space the changes doesn't take effect (it seems that ThemePress has its own decorators but didn't find anything in the confluence directory).

Finally, I had found the file: Atlassian\Confluence\confluence\decorators\includes\link-to-this-page.vm where I can print my meta tags to override the default ones.

But I think there is more professional way to achieve this (without overriding).

Any idea?
