How to change resolution date for existing Jira issues?

When it comes to updating the resolution date, there are no functions that would do that. 

There is a feature request suggesting to add this option on the “bulk edit” issues:

However, you can try the workaround mentioned on the thread below by doing a CSV import:

This is not possible. It will be the last time the resolution field is set.

One thing I found (in Nov 2024) is that in System -> External System Import, I couldn't use the 'new experience' (as it doesn't seem to allow importing to an existing software project) - I had to choose 'Switch to the old experience'.
