Can Custom Fields on Forms be Cut Down Based on Previous Choices?

Hi all, basically I have 2 form things I'm hoping to do:

1. Say I have a field A with items [a1, a2, a3, a4]. I think want [a1] and [a2] to then show a new field B to display [b1, b2, b3]. And I want a3 and a4 to display another field to show [b1, b2, b3, b4, b5]. Is this possible in JSM forms? And when I save it, to save all into the Field B? Please note I want them all to save into field B for atlassian analytics to pick up a single field.
2. Is it possible for JSM forms to AND with 2 conditional fields. and OR with a field?

Hi @Calvin 

You can have two conditional sections based on one "master" field and different options selected - but you'd need two separate fields within the conditional sections as you can't re-use a field twice on one Form.

If the field is linked to a Jira field, it will also show all options in the field, not just a selection.

You could...

• Have 2 fields for "Field B"
• Link the Form field with all Field B's options to the main field
• Use the other field for the condensed selection
• Use Automation after each ticket is created to move the options selected from the additional field into the main "Field B", as required

Thanks mate, I was hoping there may be some other way, but your answer really helped sink in that this is likely the best solution. Super appreciate it! Have implemented it and it works well :).
