Displaying statuses in gadgets but with a particular order

I need to show the statuses from my issues ordered in a specific maner, different from the alphabetical order. This reflect a particular secuence from the user perspective.

Is there any trick/plugin that can be used to rearrange the order statuses are displayed in gadgets (filter, 2-dimensional statistics)?

Sure I could add a prefix to the statuses and force that ordering, but this will impact other workflows that share the same statuses.

This will need rewriting the gadget to include a sort order. I haven't seen a plugin but have a look at marketplace to be sure.
