Hello, awesome Jira people!
Here’s a fast look at some of the latest features in Jira Cloud’s iOS app and Android app.
Tabs, and sections, and groups – oh my! Have you noticed that issues on iOS look fresher and sleeker? You’re not wrong – the entire design of the issue view has been revamped on iOS. (Don’t worry – it’s in the pipeline for Android, too!)
Information is no longer displayed in one long scrollable list. Now, information is portioned into manageable, expandable/collapsible sections. Delicious little bite-sized chunks. Like bento.
Hot tip: You can expand/collapse all sections at once by long-pressing a section’s header.

You can now view potential risks to your change issues in service management projects.
Risk insights can help you improve change approval processes by providing better information about affected services.
In the panel, view the upcoming and conflicting changes, and recent and ongoing incidents. Make sure you’ve added a planned start date, planned end date, and at least one affected service.

They’re already available on iOS, and now they’re partying on Android, too:
Pie chart gadget. Displays issues from a project or issue filter, grouped by a statistic, in pie-chart format. Issues can be grouped by any statistic, such as priority (see example below), status, or assignee.
Two-dimensional filter statistics gadget. Displays the number of issues within a chosen filter in a table format. In the example below, priority is being tallied against issue type.
Activity stream gadget. Keep an eye on recent activity within particular projects.
Add gadgets to your dashboard via Jira Cloud for web.

Save time with the Shortcuts app on iOS. Create your own shortcuts for updating an issue’s user fields, such as assignee and reporter. The image below shows an example of a shortcut mid-update, changing the assignee from the current user to 'John Appleseed'.

You can now manage your custom search filters on Android. (Already available on iOS.)
When you search for an issue, you’ll see the option to save the search as a filter. It will automatically be starred, making it easy to locate the next time you do an issue search. Afterwards, select the saved filter’s ︙ (more) icon, and choose from un-starring, renaming, or deleting.

The activity section at the bottom of issues now have an extra viewing option: All. Scroll to the bottom of an issue and select the activity dropdown menu, and choose from comments, history, worklog, and all. (You can also adjust whether issues display in a top-down or bottom-up order.)

Android:
Filter issues by component on the issues screen. (Already on iOS)
Delete inactive sprints in the backlog. (Already on iOS)
Dashboards were acting a little funky. A couple of rascally bugs have been walloped, including one that prevented switching between multiple dashboards.
Android tablets now display filters properly on the board and backlog.
Transitioning issues from one status to another has been improved.
iOS:
Filter issues by status on the board and backlog. (Available in backlog on Android)
Swipe left slowly ← on an issue in the backlog to reveal a new option: add flag.
Rename boards in company-managed projects: go to your board and select the board’s ••• (more) button.
Advanced search for Android is on the way! You’ll soon be able to search for issues using JQL queries on mobile. (Already available on iOS)
Cloning issues on iOS is about to arrive! (See image below.) You’ll be able to edit the summary, and choose whether or not to clone sprint values.

Haven’t got the app? Download Jira Cloud for iOS from the App Store, or Jira Cloud for Android from Google Play.
Don’t forget you can sign up to be a beta tester and get early access to updates!
