link jira 7 to github?

When I search for how to link JIRA to github, I get lots of hits but they all point to deprecated solutions and DVCS plugin which is retired. 

Apparently the feature is now built in to JIRA Software but I can't find where to configure it. Can someone point me to the relevant documentation?
