Copy components from one project to another in jira

Is there any way to copy components from one project to another project (new one) ?

My preference is to not use any plugin

Hi Ron,

How are you?

Thanks for reaching out to our community!

Unfortunately, it is currently not possible to have project components copied from one project to another. However, this feature was already proposed to our developers a while ago, so in case you're interested in you can refer to https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-8081 for more information.

Feel free to subscribe to this feature, as well as comment and vote for it, so that you can receive notifications about any updates posted there! Further than that, if you'd like to know more about our developers handle these requests, please refer to https://confluence.atlassian.com/support/implementation-of-new-features-policy-201294576.html.

As described in the feature linked above, there's an existing workaround for this. What could be done instead of using components would be to have a custom field to replace these components. Then, you would be able to create the desired options and simply add this field to any projects you see fit, sharing all values already defined.
