Block Main task creation in Jira project without blocking sub task creation
Scenario
We are migrating issues from one project to another project in Jira
We migrated all the closed issues from the old project to the new project
Now I want to block users from creating any more new issues in my old project – but at the same time I want my users to work on the Open issues ( which includes sub-task creation at multiple steps in workflow)
Issue faced
updated permission scheme of the project – “ Create issue “ permission
But what happened, in this case, was that the users were not able to create any more new issues in the Project, but for the open issues they weren’t able to create sub-tasks also
Requirement
I need to block users from creating issues in my Jira project, at the same time they should be able to create sub-tasks for the existing Main tasks.
