I have created a customer field called "email address" and would like to setup automatic notifications to be sent to the address in this field.
Does anyone know if this is possible?
I note you are using Jira Server/Data Center. Do you have the Pro version of Automation for Jira addon? If so, you could use an automation rule and the Send Email action to do this: https://confluence.atlassian.com/automation/actions-993924834.html (This cannot be done with the free/Lite version of automation.)
Otherwise, you will need some other addon as built-in email functions sent from Jira require a user account.
Kind regards,
Bill
Thanks Bill but I was really after a solution without having to pay for any extra Apps or Plugins.
