Scrollbar is hidden in backlog

Edited

I went into Jira this morning and noticed the backlog scrollbar disappeared. It seems to be stuck to the top of the page and I'm forced to scroll up and down to see summaries, descriptions, labels etc.

Another way of putting it is that the sidebar and the main backlog don't have independent scrollbars anymore.

  • Update. Some notes on the issue:
    • It's happening on one of my projects, but not the other.
    • It's happening on the same project to other co-workers.
    • It's happening on Chrome, Safari, and Firefox.
    • It's happening on a private window too.

The issue sounds similar to this 2018 issue.

Hi @Camila Vargas

Just to let you (and the admins) know that our instance is suffering from this and like you it seems to have just started.

Thanks,

Rob

@Camila Vargas I think I just fixed it by hiding the tickets under one of the boards on the backlog - ie clicking the arrow to the left of the board title.

Once the board was folded up, the side scroll bar immediately appeared and seems to have remained.

Worth a try. Hope it works

Hi @Rob Harrison thank you for your help!

Today, the scroll bar is back. Not sure how, but I have it once again.

Best!

Hi @Camila Vargas and welcome!

In my Jira instance this doesn't happen. Some questions I'd like you to ask are:

  • Does this happen only to you, or to other users in your instance?
  • Did you try logging in via a private window, and see if that continue to occur?
  • Did you try to change a browser and see if the problem persists?

Hi @Alex Koxaras _Relational_ ! Thank you :)

  • Does this happen only to you, or to other users in your instance?
    • I just tested with another co-worker and he also has the issue.
  • Did you try logging in via a private window, and see if that continues to occur?
    • I tried logging in via a private window and the issue persists.

  • Did you try to change a browser and see if the problem persists?
    • I tried Chrome, Safari, and Firefox and the issue persists.

Now, new information I have is that it is happening on one of my projects but not the other. And same for my co-worker!

Could it be a setting I accidentally moved?

To be honest, I'm not aware of such a setting.
