Recording Weekend Work and Compensatory Off

Hi

Can you guide on how to set up for developers who are sometimes requested to work over the weekend.  How does one define a Compensatory off for the same work on the weekend on another day?

Thanks

Champ

@Champaka_bindigenavile : Welcome to community!

In terms of HR? You need to make sure that this is clearly defined in the employees' contracts.

In terms of Jira Cloud, I would use the Tempo plug-ins for planning and time entry (https://marketplace.atlassian.com/vendors/6558/tempo-for-jira)

Under your Overheads project (or whatever that is called) create an issue titled "Time Off In Lieu".

That way you can plan, record, and monitor the compensatory time off employees have earned through weekend work. You can also link these issues directly to the worked issues so it is clear what they did and for how long.

Does this help?

Hi

Its for the recording purpose that it shows up in Tempo ...

I already have Tempo...I am pretty new to JIRA...

Do i need another plug-in within Tempo?

If so, which one ?

There are three Tempo Plug-ins available - one is most relevant and another is handy:

To immediately overcome your challenge make sure you are using Timesheets:

For insight into to upcoming work and be able to plan the people in you can also use Planner:
https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1211881/tempo-planner?hosting=datacenter&tab=overview

Good luck on this and do come back to the Community and share your experience as a topic when you are done ! 🌟🤘
