How do I set Automation permissions?

James Gigantes

https://confluence.atlassian.com/automationkb/permissions-for-project-automation-1130727580.html

^found this page. Though It doesn't seem to work. I go to the global config option under the triple dot. It only prompts me to extend error log duration, and to enforce allow list. Nothing here to let project admins create rules. Does anyone have a step by step guide how to provide project admins or individuals permissions to write rules using Automations for Jira Server Lite?

Only documentation I could find: https://confluence.atlassian.com/automation/manage-permissions-for-project-admins-1141480595.html

Jeremy,

Did you try setup the permission view?

You can change the permission at project settings:

Step by step:

  1. Access the project
  2. Click on project settings
  3. Click on Permission
  4. Verify the permission scheme is NOT shared with others
  5. Remove the permission Service Desk Portal ... at browse project

I try it once time and work it. laugh

And IF the permission scheme is shared with others projects, THEN you need create one permission scheme and add to the project before start the change.

Regards!
