What impact does changing the user login session time-out have on the performance of the Jira application, does it degrade performance at user level, does it consume too many resources?
We would very much appreciate your comments if any of you have made this change or know about it.
Thanks All,
Hi @Richard ,
Welcome to the Community! I don't think that performance would be impacted (although I'm curious to hear if anyone had experience issues). For me, the impact when deciding on login session timeout and idle timeouts is related to security and user experience. E.g., shorter time-outs would result in better security, but a poorer user experience. And vice-versa.
I hope you are doing well !,
Thank you very much for your comment and welcome to the community, it's a pleasure to receive feedback and I hope to be able to contribute as I gain experience to the Atlassian community. Your feedback helps us to be sure of the changes.
I hope to be able to share our experience with the change soon but just the reasons are to improve the user experience.
Kind Regards ,
R.
