Hey folks - I want to use Automation for Jira to set a Multiple Issue Picker field type to trigger issue. Anybody know how to do this? Here's the JSON I'm using but it isn't working.
The Multiple Issue Picker is a scriptrunner field - https://docs.adaptavist.com/sr4js/latest/features/script-fields/built-in-script-fields/issue-picker
Audit log says "data was not an array". I've tried using {{triggerissue.key}} and {{triggerissue.summary}}
Thanks!
I was looking for a concrete answer here, I managed to set it up (on Jira Data Center) and it's working for me, so I'm leaving this for future reference.
If you want to set multiple issue picker using Jira Automation, the formula looks like this:
{
"fields": {
"customfield_xxxxx": ["{{triggerIssue.key}}"]
}
}
*replace "xxxxx" by ID of your multiple issue picker custom field.
Hi @Julia
First thing: I am not using ScriptRunner or Jira Server/Data Center; I am using Jira Cloud. So my suggestion is based on what I know about automation rules, in general.
That type of field appears to have some structure, and you are trying to give it a text field...rather than an array.
So a few things to check first:
Kind regards,
Bill
