How can I update the status of a linked issue after the main issue changed status?

Hey,

I have 1 Epic in a Software project and 1 Task in a Business Project. I would like to close automatically the Task on the Business project once the Epic in the software project is closed. Any idea how can I do that?

I'm using JIRA Software on a server version.

Thanks

ScriptRunner

Can you please elaborate what it means and steps to begin? I'm new with JIRA. Thanks!

Hello,

ScriptRunner is a 3 party software that does a lot of automation for JIRA.

You should know groovy.

It is not difficult but in the beginning face off is not easy.

Publishing here the code, in this moment for you, will not be useful.

First you should check the application.

Also, Scriptrunner has a lot of "Built-in Scripts" for doing things.

I remember that something similar like this is available.

Best regards.
