Clone issue: select project using Smart Value

Hey all,

Do you know how I'd use the Clone Issue action and send the cloned issue to a Project based on a Smart Value?

Again, instead of selecting a specific project from the Project drop-down, I want to specify it using a Smart Value.

I got my Smart Value to return the project's key (I see it with the Log action), but the Clone action results in:

Error creating issue: No project selected. (pid)

Thank you!

Felipe

Hi Felipe,

Can you share a screenshot of the rule and of the Audit log for when you run it?

Actually I realized that "pid" meant Project ID. So I made the smart value return the ID instead of the key and it worked.

The sad part is that it's nearly impossible to dynamically get to the project ID. Linked issues don't have it, issues in Issue Picker fields don't have it.

It would be much more useful if we could put the project key instead...
