Add rule in next-gen projects - assign based on epic

Hello,

I want to create a rule that assigns a person based on the epic to which the issue is linked. in next-gen projects I can only make a rule based on the state. Is there a workaround or a solution?

Hi Otilia,

Unfortunately, it is not possible to be accomplished in JIRA, however, you can use some add-ons that can achieve your goal. One that I was able to test is the Automation for JIRA (which you can see the screenshot below).

By the way, what is the Epic parameter you want to compare to decide who will be assigned the issue? I'm asking because maybe there is a feature request regarding your needs.
