Can I create a custom field like the inbuilt "status" field provided by JIRA

Hello ,

I would like to know if I can create an "overall status" custom field that shows me three different statuses - "Completed(green)", "Not Completed(red)", "In Progress(yellow)" similar to "status" field that is available in JIRA.

I am looking for something similar shown in the attachment.

No.  The Status "field" is not doing what you've said here, and it's not a field anyway, it's an indicator of where the issue is in the workflow.

You should look instead at the Status Category, which shows you "to do", "in progress" and "done".
