Threads in comments

Hello - Perhaps this is an enhancement request on the commenting system but is there a way to create threads on comments in either JIRA tickets or wiki pages? In other words, having the ability to respond directly to a comment (starting a thread) rather than creating a general comment. It would be much easier to follow conversations in the comments of a ticket or wiki page. Thanks!
