Is it possible to automatically copy a card with a specific label to a list on another board?

Catriona Mouland May 1, 2021

I would like to be able to have a rule/automation that copies a card with a specific label from Board 1 to a specific list on Board 2.

Example:

I create a card called "Buy furniture" on "To do list" of Board 1 and I tag it with the label "Shopping list". I would like this card to be automatically copied to "Shopping list" of Board 2.

I've had a look at Butler but I'm still quite new to Trello so still figuring it out. I'm not sure if linking to labels is too specific?

Thank you!

You can achieve this by creating a rule in Butler :)

  1. Open Butler on your board 1
  2. Go to "Rules"
  3. Create new rule
  4. Go to the "card changes" tab
  5. Add your trigger using your already made custom label

6. Select the green plus icon to add the trigger

7. Now you set your action which will be under the "move" tab:

8. Select the green plus icon to add the action.

9. Save your rule and you're done!

Thank you! I did read that post but I wasn't totally clear on the solution unfortunately. As in, I don't really understand what they did/should do.
