worklog email notification

i want JIRA to send email to user if he forgot to fill in worklog (time spent for tasks) yesterday.
what are the ways to implement it?

We implemented a service that sends a nagging email every night to the user copying his boss. Unfortunately, the code is not open source but that is one idea to try.

I have the email sitting in my inbox from yesterday night!!
