I am trying to update a resolution. Every time I try to update a resolution I am asked for a sprint. I have been using JIRA for a year and this has never happen. Ho do I fix this problem?

Do you mean that there is a field that wasn't there before in the screen? Or that the Sprint field is not displayed, but you can't perform this transition.

Depending, the "problem" could be:

  • In the workflow, where the transition screen was modified to show Sprint
  • In the Field configuration, where the Sprint field was set as Required
  • In the workflow, where now a validator forces a value in Sprint

Either way, this doesn't happen by accident. Your JIRA administrator(s) changed one of these configurations.
