where to look for JIRA mail Q

Manju Nambiar
March 6, 2013

I have a test instance of JIRA which is a clone of PROD. Till today, mail was disabled for the TEST instance. When mail was disabled, all the notifications related to the subscriptions would have been queued, correct? Where can i see the queued mails?

Regards,

Manju

Check at Administration > System > Mail > Mail Queue

Mail Q showed as empty. So, does that mean that the notifications for subscriptions were not queued instead were paused?

Is that true for all other notifications as well? When mail was disabled and issue update was done, the related notification never was triggered?

Well, the notification will be triggered but the mail queue will be cleared when the service runs next time. Mail will just be deleted from the queue as it is disabled.
