where are workflow drafts kept?

Amy Hogan

I was working on a workflow all day and I now see the window got closed. I had not published it. Is it recoverable and if so, where? I cannot find it!

Go to workflows as if you're going to edit a workflow.  Scroll down all the way to the bottom and expand Inactive.  Hopefully your draft workflow is there.

If it was an already existing workflow you where working on your draft is the same workflow (just marked with an exclamation mark in a circle, meaning that there is draft). So if you edit the workflow again you will be editing you last draft. Only if you discard your draft the changes you made will be gone.
