when Sidebar View enabled, the Selected Issue disappears when filtered

I have a board with tickets, the board has filters, and there is a sidebar view for a selected ticket. if i select a ticket, and have the sidebar view open on the side, and i then apply a filter, and the selected ticket is going to be filtered out as a result, should the ticket disappear from the board or stay on the board? And what should happen to the sidebar view of the selected ticket?

These are two different questions.

In Jira what happens is that the sidebar stays on the side, but the ticket disappears from the board.

I find it personally very confusing, and think that the selected ticket (selected issue) should always stay on the board during sidebar view, until it is unselected, regardless of the state of the filters.

Any thoughts?

Has that been brought up in the past with Jira? (I didn't see any discussions about this)

Would really appreciate people's thoughts and if there is a way to configure the selected ticket to stay on the board despite the applied filters.

@eilon_elphi when you filter a board it will remove the issue from being visible on the board.  If you have an issue open in the side bar applying the filter should not change the issues visibility in the side bar.
