Hi,

could not find any information about typical usage of Target (or Goal) jira issue type. Why is it needed? Could you share useful links about?

Thanx.

Hi @Бондарев Руслан  - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Here is an article that will give you more information:

https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/what-are-issue-types/

Basically, issue types allow you to have different workflows on a project based on different types of work - e.g. Epics vs. Stories vs. Bugs

Also, you can use different screen with different fields base on the issue type - e.g. you might want a field on a screen for bugs for Steps to Reproduce, but you don't want that field to appear on the screens for other issue types.

ok, thank you. I thought that I can make hierarchy between target and epic or target and story (task), for example for OKR. I hope to find any example or best practice to do something like that. But I've still looking for.

Yes, you can create hierarchies like that - but only in a Premium subscription plan.
