We have 10 story issues and now I want to change them as epics. Through bulk change, I have converted those10 story issues to epics. But here the problem is while changing all 10 story issue names aren't converted. I want those names should be changed. Please suggest.

Regards,

Kanaka

Hi @Kanaka_Prasad

If you bulk changed (moved) the story issues into epics, the summary field should be preserved.  If you are wanting to bulk edit the epic name field, they would all end up as the same value, so it would be better to manually update 10 issues.  Once the issue types are converted, you could perform another bulk move to change them to a new project.

Alternatively, you could write an automation rule to convert the stories and set the epic name at the same time.  That would probably be a bad idea, as changing the issue type with automation could result in the issues being broken/unstable due to incompatibilities in fields and workflow.

If you instead want to change a different field than epic name, please explain further.

Thank you, and best regards,

Bill
