using REST to check access

I for a while used  https://SERVER/rest/api/rest/api/2/issue/createmete to check if I have access.

Yesterday this functionality stopped working.

Which REST call can I use instead?

The createmeta endpoint has been removed in Jira 9. You can find the new/other ways to get the same data here:
