Dear all,
is there a way to user a system account, or specific account for all transition step ?
In the history, when a user click on a transition button, this is the developper's account that appears.
With certain add-on (JSU), we can user another account to perform the change, and this accoun is correctly display.
I'm looking for a way to replace the developper's username by a system account.
Is it possible ?
I'm thinking about given the service account admin right, and then rewriting all steps, but seems to be security issue, and licence use only for that, so, probably not a good idea
JIra is 8.20.6
thank you
@Xavier Hi
As I understand you - you made some actions in Jira using your developer account but you want that those actions should be marked as different user right?
Jira out of the box don't have that kind of functionality. If you made something as user X in issue history this will be marked as done by user x.
Some apps (like JSU) can do that but in limited way. In the past my team also were facing with that and we decide to wrote own app for that.
I don't know other commercial apps that can do that.
Regards,
Seba
thank you for your quick answer
if I update manually something on a ticket, yes, normal to see my name. But the needs, is to see a different account for transition history
if A click on button which triggered a transition, this is the developper name that appears on history, except when transition have some JSU postfunction..
but ok, seems not possible like this
thank you again
regards
