update jira 7.2 to 8.1

i want to upgrade jira from 71.2 to 8.11.a license bought permanently, you can guide how i upgrade to jira 8.11. need preparation to upgrade, thanks

Look at the Update requirement, so you're sure of what changes or system requirements are need
Follow the Preparing for Upgrade steps
If you have any add-ons, disable that first before upgrade, then enable after upgrade is done
Prepare a backup copy of your Installation directory and your Jira Home directory
Backup your Database as well
Download the New version and place in a different directory (or the same, your choice)
Connect JAVA_HOME to the new Installation directory
Install the new version and set up the service. If on windows x64, you might want to ensure that use tomcat64.exe version before running the service.bat file
startup Jira again.
