unable to login with firefox

Vincent Corrèze December 14, 2018

Atlassian cloud always tells me :

`Check that your browser allows third-party cookies and then try again using the button below (without refreshing the page): `

I have strong isolation enabled between tabs, FF 65.0b3, ublock origin off, privacy badger green, and FF says no content blocked.

In my case, I figured out that the reason for this infinite login loop was because of a Firefox extension - Skip Redirect. Login worked after I added the following URLs to No-Skip-Url-List in the extension settings.

.atlassian.net/
.atlassian.com/

In order to login to your Atlassian cloud site (example.atlassian.net) your browser session is actually having to go to https://id.atlassian.com and login there first.   In regards to the isolation feature of Firefox, this is not permitted in this case.  I believe this is because the browser is strictly seeing two different domains as separate sites (*.atlassian.net and id.atlassian.com)

This has been noted before in your community, such as in the example https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/cannot-login-with-Firefox-and-privacy-firstparty-isolate-true/qaq-p/701180

One way around this is to disable this isolation feature in your browser.  This will allow the login to be completed.
