I am facing an issue with the email notifications received from Jira in my Outlook inbox. While the subject line and sender details are visible, the main content/body of the emails is not displaying properly. When I receive email notifications from Jira (e.g., comments), I can not see what is the comment. I have to click on "View comment" and see the actual comment in JIRA, but it is not visible in MS outlook.

Hello @Mukul Garg ,

Good day! Welcome to Atlassian Community :)

I would like to inform you that these modifications were implemented as part of our ongoing efforts to enhance security and were initially introduced back in December 2024. However, they were temporarily rolled back based on customer feedback requesting a setting to control this feature. Our development team introduced this feature again with control over managing notifications.

Here are the steps you can follow to address these changes:

  1. In adminhub, click “Security” → “External users” page
  2. Select the “External user policy”
  3. Ensure Email and notification visibility is set to Allow
  4. Update the policy

We have documented this change in our change logs, which you can review here.

Thank you!

Thank you for your response.

I do not see the option " External user policy". FYI, I am not an admin. Is this the reason?

Regards
Mukul
