transition unmapped & history

El March 7, 2023

1. Unmapped transition:

  • Someone (unknown) has broken a transition on my board - see attached (Transition unmapped)
  • It appears on the workflow and in the column - see attached (column) but it's not allowing tickets to be added to the column as it is unmapped.
  • How can I map this back to the workflow?

2. History:

  • Is there a way in JIRA to inspect changes done to workflows by users?
  • I need to see who's made this change so that I can resolve this please.

Hi Elizabeth,

First, you can edit the work flow to add the All transition back to it - although it will probably tell you that you can edit it because the status does not have an outgoing transition (the message will say something else though).

If (and when) that happens, you will need to copy the Workflow, and then edit the workflow while it is still inactive.

Then you need to Edit the workflow scheme that contains this workflow and add the new inactive one to it. Match it up with the the issue types for the existing "broken" workflow, which will mean that you are in effect replacing the old workflow with the new workflow. Publish your edited workflow scheme, and it should be good to go.

As for who did it, you can check the Audit Log in the Settings > System area. It won't tell you want they did, but you should be able to see who changed it last.
