after adding the transition screen it doesn't work. What could be the reason?

What exactly are you attempting to do and what do you mean by "it doesn't work"?

I set the transition screen to have the status "to do" and "in progress", but nothing happens when the status changes, maybe you still need to adjust the properties of the transition?

You need to link your transition screen to a transition on a workflow before it will show
