ow do i create a timeline with start date and end date instead of sprint date i want the individual start date and end date shown in timeline give as part of the feature,story and task

This can be achieved under Configure Timeline settings

Open the Timeline -> Click on "..." -> Select Configure Timeline -> Click on Timeline -> select Schedule by start and due dates

Yes, you can absolutely change the timeline view to display dates instead of sprints.

Here is a quick step-by-step guide to make that update:

1. On your timeline, click the three dots (...) menu located near the top right corner.
2. Select Configure timeline.
3. Look for the scheduling settings section where you will see two options:
   Schedule child issues by sprints
   Schedule child issues by dates
4. Choose Schedule child issues by dates.

Once you select that, your timeline will automatically update to reflect start and due dates instead of sprint cycles!

Tip: Make sure your child issues actually have Start and Due dates filled in, otherwise they might not show up as expected on the timeline! Also, keep in mind that you'll need the proper project editing permissions to save timeline configuration changes.

In native Jira, the Timeline view can display issues by their own dates instead of sprint dates. Open your project's Timeline → View settings, and set the date fields to use Start date and Due date (rather than sprint dates). Once these fields are filled in on your features, stories, and tasks, each item will be shown as a bar spanning its individual date range. Note that in company-managed projects you may need the Start date field added to your issue screens first.

Keep in mind Jira's Timeline has some limitations — it's per-project (cross-project timelines require Plans/Premium), and hierarchy/date visibility for sub-tasks is limited.

If you need more, ActivityTimeline builds on the same fields — you map your Start/End date fields in Configuration → Jira Integration, and all features, stories, tasks, and sub-tasks are displayed on timelines by their individual dates across multiple projects and teams. Dragging or resizing a task on the timeline updates the dates in Jira automatically, and sprint dates are only used as a fallback when individual dates are empty.
