story point and log work

Hi

We have 5 stories in Sprint1 and all are estimated in story point. Once stories are assigned to team member. They are putting effort in hours instead of points. So, how it will reflect on burn down chart which is set against story point.

Can developer log work in story point i.e out of 8 points burn only 3 points.

Please help.

Hello,

Burndown chart does not take into account remaining estimate. It has a different logic. It looks for all tasks, which have been completed in the sprint and subtracts the story points of these tasks. You can find more info here:
