sprint field not visible on sub-tasks from the same Screen Scheme as tasks

Sprint field is visible on Tasks, but not sub-tasks.

In the relevant projects, it doesn't matter where you have Sprint in the Issue layout (Context fields or Hide when empty) it only shows on a sub-task if it isn't empty.

Any ideas, as I'm stumped

This is not quite a "bug", but definitely a design-flaw in Jira Software.

Sub-tasks will always be in the sprint that their parent is - Jira does that right in most ways.  But failing to tell us humans what sprint a sub-task is in, no, Jira doesn't do that quite right.

Thanks @Nic Brough -Adaptavist-  Yeah I kinda figured that was the case and had advised confused end user that that was the workaround. It does feel "not quite right" though :-(

Adding sprint field to subtask will make life much easier  - It seems a simple enough problem to correct  - now sure why it is not being done
