sort Statuses when displayed through a Statistics gadget?

Hi Is it possible to have the Statuses come out in the workflow order when you create a Statistics Gadget on a dashboard. At the moment you can sort in the gadget however, I'm not sure what the actual sort is because it doesn't appear to be alphabetic or workflow order.
