shouldn't leads of a kanban or scrum get emails when users add new issues or add comments?

i am a lead but i am not getting emails when comments are added.

Community moderators have prevented the ability to post new answers.

there's a notification scheme assigned to your project. You find it in the Project settings -> Notifications section.

There you can specify, who will be informed by which event.

You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
