Any keyboard shortcut to search and add a ticket number while typing the contents in the description. I had to go to the relevant ticket, and copy the ticket number, and then paste it into the description. I hope there should be a different and easier way
Hi Krish_Ioku,
Can you describe what you are trying to achieve in a bit more detail? Are you linking the ticket number of one ticket in the description of another? And for what purpose?
Depending on what you are trying to do linking issues might also work. That does allow you to search for an issue.
Searching for issues from the description box currently isn't possible, as far as I know.
Hope this helps!
Els
Yes, thanks for the answer @Nikola Perisic and @Els Bassant. I used the link to and link by to connect the tickets. It seems, there is no shortcut to get the ticket numbers in the description.

Hello @Krish.loku ,
An alternative would be to create the automation that will have the trigger "Issue created" followed by the action of "Edit issue" for "Description" field which will have the additional {{issue.key}}.
Now, to be able to reference the issue key when typing, currently is not possible.

I want to refer another ticket number while in a ticket. For example Part 1 issue has been handled in the ticket DIV-1222 and part 2 issue has been dealt with in the ticket DIV_1333. then I require to mention in the description of the DIV-1222 ticket, the reference to DIV-1333.
