I used to have the option Link via Share in Jira on the timeline of plans.
That created a link to the read-only site of the plans/timeline
That way you could sent it to your colleague so he could see the same timeline as you wanted him to see, without him/her having the option to changing the filter - this has disappeared - is there another way to create that link?
(png is no option, because you cannot go in detail of the feature/story)

HI @Verbeek Ella

Welcome to the community.

I don't follow you I can stil use the share option in a plan and then share this with other people in Jira/Confluence.

Can you provide screenshots?

Hi @Verbeek Ella

If you use the copy link option or share, the results on accessing the plan via this link is always read only

See example on pasting it in Confluence page.

Hi @Verbeek Ella

Did you try (in the new menu), the option copy link and paste this link within a Confluence page?

What does it show?

IF it doesn't show read-only, what are the permissions on the plan, is it open for all.

Otherwise contact Atlassian Support, as it might impact your instance, or try to create a new Plan (could be the Plan is having a bug).
