script runner workkflow post function on jira datacenter version.

Is it possible to use "Copy field values"  built in script to copy the date from a custom field to "Assignee" system field using scriprunner in a post function ? I dont see the "Assignee" field in the dropdowns.

Hi @wonderid Welcome to Atlassian Community!

Using Copy field value built-in , you can only copy values between Custom fields. System fields are not available.

Alternate solution, For moving a data from custom system to Assignee field. Try to use External System import >> CSV Import >> In Assignee column put assignee username and import csv file, it will update filtered issue Assignee.

You mentioned post-function and I am assuming that you want to copy the field values in the workflow when the ticket is transitioned from one status to the other.

In that case, you can use 'Copy issue fields (JMWE app)' option in the post-function, provided you have 'Jira Misc Workflow Extenstion' app installed.

Or, use 'Update or copy field values' option if you have 'Jira Workflow Toolbox' app installed.

Use 'Copy field values [ScriptRunner]' option if you have 'ScriptRunner' app installed.
