script runner using "run from storage" for script storage - how to do that

I noted you mentioned "There are "in-line" and "run from storage". " options for script usage.

How do I implement git for JIRA with script runner plugin to get version control in place on these groovy scripts that are in listeners,etc using "run from storage".

Can you point me to a document as using search on JIRA documents gets me no where.
