Can I have both projects create versions of the releases with the same name?
We are currently standardizing on Jira the metrics that are being requested on the SFDC project and was request to work in building the Deployment Breakdown Chart which is made up of the user stories, change requests, bugs and IT features life cycle. In order to calculate in a truthful way this information in Jira, we are reviewing the process of each issue type and we notice that there is a loss of information regarding the releases since the field "fix version" is not being consistent with the release version to which the issue is associated.
Since the Salesforce project has two sub-projects within it (SFDC and QN), we request that both projects create versions of the releases with the same name (i.e. quote-Automation-1.1. 0 (country) in QN, the same as it was created in SFDC) and the issues keep this association when they become part of the QN project according to what the business defines for its passage to production,
this guarantees us that at the time of exporting the project metrics, both teams (QN Team) and (SFDC Team) the figures will be consistent and we do not lose accuracy in the metrics when reworking the reassignment of versions when the issues go to "ready for deployment" status.
