"We couldn't save your content" error msg when placing images in story descriptions

Over the last few days, I've been repeatedly receiving this error when placing images (jpg & png) within story descriptions, after pressing the save button:

"We couldn't save your content" It may contain formatting we don't recognize. Try removing the formatting before saving."

When I remove the image, I am able to save the description. I tried reducing the resolution, saving in different formats and this is still happening in multiple stories. Any ideas?
