"Resolved" (datetime) not stamped on Epic when automation resolves it

I have automation set to resolve an Epic once all related stories have been resolved. Using "Project Automation", whenever all related stories have been transitioned to "resolved", the Epic is then transitioned to "resolved" and the resolution is set to "done".

If I manually resolve an Epic, the "resolved" (datetime) field gets set, but not via automation. Why?

Hey @david_evans  - Did you ever get this solved?

@david_evans - Welcome to community.

I am not sure why it would be set differently clicking the button or via an automation.  Others have solved this by adjusting the post function on the workflow.  https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/Resolution-date-is-not-set/qaq-p/1020904

I would suggest submitting a support issue to get more information on how the automations differ as I was not able to find any.
