When I create a linked work item from an existing issue, I cannot see the "Labels" field in the pop-up window. Can anyone assist in how to get the "labels" field to display in the pop-up window when creating a linked work item?

Hi @Tim Pickop

If I understand correctly, you are attempting to create a linked work item from an existing issue, but the Labels field is not appearing in the pop-up window.

The steps to add the Labels field vary depending on whether your project is company-managed or team-managed:

For Company-Managed Projects:

The pop-up window utilizes the project’s Create Issue screen. To display the Labels field, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Project Settings.

  2. Click on Screens under the Work Items section.

  3. Identify the screen scheme associated with your issue type.

  4. Locate the screen used for the Create operation.

  5. Click on the screen and add the "Labels" field if it is not already present.

For Team-Managed Projects:

In team-managed projects, there are no screen schemes or separate operations. You can directly update the issue type layout:

  1. Go to Project Settings.

  2. Click on Issue types under the Work types section.

  3. Select the issue type used for creating the linked issue.

  4. In the layout editor, drag the Labels field from the right side to the main form.

  5. Click Save changes.

Once you have added the field using the appropriate method, it will appear when creating a linked issue.

If you need further assistance, feel free to ask!

Thank you.
