"In Review" Status Accidentally Renamed

Lindsey Jensen

A new user accidentally renamed the "In Review" status for software projects, and I can't figure out how to change the name back. This user doesn't know what they did to make the change, but it has applied across Software projects. Please see the attached image to see what it looks like now. Does anyone know where I need to go in the settings to change this status name back to "In Review?"

Many thanks! in review.jpg

Hi @Lindsey Jensen

You say, it has applied across Software projects. So, they are probably company-managed projects and new user has admin rights.

Check logs from System -> Audit Log section for details.

To fix it;

  • Go to Jira Settings -> Issues -> Statuses
  • Find the status: "Hardware installation for MX 85"
  • Rename to "In Review"

Check user permissions and remove admin rights.

@Lindsey Jensen You will need to go to Settings > Issues > Statues

On that page you can find the status and edit it to update the name of the status.
