"Git Commits" tab in Jira is empty, even tough Bitbucket is linked

Why is the 'Git Commits' tab in Jira empty?
I've linked the Bitbucket reposiroty to the project, and I'm able to access commits via the development tab, but for some reason the commits tab does not seem to be linked.
Both Jira and Bitbucket servers are local on my own server.
